Tradecorp has taken all the needed actions to comply with the three deadlines established by REACH. As of May 31st, the last deadline established by the regulation, all of our substances have been registered and Tradecorp is fully compliant with REACH. Tradecorp has timely registered 30 substances and acted as the leader registrant in seven of them.
About the REACH Regulation
REACH Regulation (Regulation 1907/2006 on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) was published in December 2006 and came into effect June, 2007. REACH pursues a double objective:
On one hand, to replace a number of European Directives and Regulations with a harmonized system for the whole the European Union
On the other hand, to protect human health and the environment through better control and knowledge of chemical substances.
The deadlines detailed in REACH Regulation
REACH regulation consisted of three deadlines:
November 30th 2010: Deadline for substances over 1000 tons per year; or over 100 tons per year if very toxic to aquatic organisms; or over 1 ton per year if CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic properties).
May 31st 2013: Deadline for substances at 100-1000 tons per year.
May 31st 2018: Last registration deadline, covering substances on tonnage band 1-100 ton/year.
